The board is done and I am so excited! This will be the board I will use to learn to kiteboard, but of course who better to demonstrate it then David, a kiteboarder extraordinaire! This was a gift to me from FreeStylePlaya for my contribution to the project, so as you saw earlier, I drew (to the best of my ability) a design I wanted to carry and there it is! Please see the post earlier about the board and why I chose to broadcast this message! Thank you FreeStylePlaya for everything! Together we can make our dreams a reality.

Fireproof killer whales (Orcinus orca): flame retardant chemicals and the conservation imperative in the charismatic icon of British Columbia, Canada – by Peter S. Ross. Download the pdf here

Sundance Channel / Environmental News – Canada sued for failure to protect killer whale habitat (Thanks for crediting my photograph)

And why the Salmon? Starving Orcas: “The orca’s problems are our problems and they go deep. Very deep.”

An orcaboard concept I am working on with freestyle playa (who is globally connected through the sport) – a new killer whale kiteboard design evoking awareness, education and fun! All images are vector drawn in illustrator by me and are scaleable to any size. Use the power of sport to pass an important message. Stay tuned for a kick ass photo shoot with my new Canon 50D with David and the new “orcaboard” in the Caribbean soon!
